Both educational and fun software for children (and Adults!). Some can be used by a child on their own, others, depending on the age of the child, will be best used with an adult.

Another software programme for those interested in astronomy. All you have to do it feed in your location and the programme will show you what you should be able to see in the sky at that exact moment in time. It will show you any constellations, planets, stars etc and there are options to shows some of the different types of "pictures" various cultures have seen in the stars.
