| Description: | Ignore the "tvcatchup" bit in the title this UK only (at the moment) piece of software will let you watch many of the most popular Freeview Channels on your computer without any additional hardware. You need to join, but that is free, download and install the software or use the browser based version. You will then have acdess to BBC 1, 2, 3, 4, ITV 1,2,3,4, Dave, Film 4 , E4, Cbbc, Citv etc including some of the +1 channels. You may ask "What use is this, when I already have a digital TV".. well not everyone can get the digital channels, even though the "normal" channels are being switched off. Plus those of you with children will know how often you loose control of the remote... tired of watching Cbeebies every day, now you can sit with you laptop and headphones and watch whilst still keeping an eye on your kids. This is a new programme and we are promised a "record" function in the coming months which will make this great free facility even better. I highly recommend this as a great way to watch Freeview Channels. It is totally legal and I use it constantly to avoid Bob the Builder and Fifi :-) |
